Printer Rules

# Do not over fill any printer trays

# Do not shake the printer cartridges (exception would be the Kyocera printers when you first put the toner in the printer)

# DO NOT MOVE THE SLIDERS ON THE 2ND FLOOR PRINTER TRAYS

# When putting paper in the trays you should not move anything in the paper trays.

# Clean off any staples from the counter top, before placing the toner cartridge on any surface (the cartridges are magnetic and will pick-up staples). Once a staple gets inside the printer, it will ruin the drum/diffuser, and cause streaking on the all the print outs.

# Do not remove a printer jam with anything but your own hands. Using a foreign object could damage the toner cartridge, and possibly the printer itself.

Remember: it's our job to make things run smoothly for the people who need to print. Anytime we cause damage to the printer, we cause problems for the people who are in a rush to print their papers and get to class.
